Documentary Africa will support promising filmmakers to produce their documentary projects. This stage involves the actual shooting and recording of content. This may include funding for production costs and /or attendance to production training.The maximum contribution is 15000$. The applications can be submitted by either the director or the producer. Both must be citizens and residents of a West or East African countries. List of eligible countries here .The contribution for production costs must be spend in a country on this list. The contribution for attendance to a production training must be spent in one of DocA’s supported creative producers’ labs.Eligible countries include. East African Countries: Comoros, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Madagascar, Mauritius, Rwanda, Seychelles, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda. West Africa Countries: Benin, Burkina Faso, Cabo Verde, Ivory Coast, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, Guinea, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, and Togo.
